Access methods supported
This article explains the different ways your organisation can easily access and manage its content on the platform.
IP address recognition
When a device connects to a website or service, its IP address is automatically detected. Users accessing the platform with IPs belonging to an institution are automatically authenticated and get access to subscribed content.
For information on how to set up IP address recognition for your institution, please check out this article: How do I configure IP access for my organisation?
Access via Proxy IP
Your proxy IP is added to your organisation account, and any users accessing the platform via proxy IPs are granted access to your content.
Institutions that use EZProxy may need to update their stanza for this access method to work. More information can be found on this article: How do I set up my EZ Proxy configuration?
OpenAthens/Shibboleth
Federated access via OpenAthens or Shibboleth allows users to get access to your content by logging into the platform through your Single Sign-On (SSO) portal using their institutional credentials, if there is an existing SSO system in place.
For information on SSO access for your institution, please check out this article: How do I set up access through Shibboleth/OpenAthens for my organisation?
Autologin link
This is a link that can be embedded behind a login portal on your website.
When users click on this link, they are redirected to the platform with full access to the content in your library catalogue.
